Dreamweaver was founded by owner Zac Webster in 2018. Zac had been cultivating experience and drawing inspiration for the group for many years leading up to it’s official creation. He bought his first Pizza Schmizza franchise in 2012 and eventually owned and operated 3 locations across Portland. He grew to love his regulars and the neighborhoods he operated in, and took pride in doing physical renovations himself.

After he sold his Pizza Schmizza franchises, he began Zac’s Taps- a beer draft line installation and maintenance business. From there he started Traveling Taphouse, the largest mobile bar in Oregon. Traveling Taphouse is housed inside a large converted trailer loving referred to as Black Betty and is sponsored by Pendleton Whisky. If you’ve ever been to the Pendleton Roundup, you’ve probably seen the Traveling Taphouse and Zac with his loyal dog named Bartender.

Dreamweaver opened Yard Bar on North Mississippi Avenue in 2016 and enjoyed many years serving and getting to know the North Portland community. In 2018, Dreamweaver Group expanded with Little Taco & Tequila located in Historic Old Town. Bringing in his son Tristan, the father and son duo opened HallwayPDX in 2022 under the Dreamweaver umbrella, a Shining-themed karaoke bar in China Town.

The most recent addition to the Dreamweaver Group is Speakeasy Saloon, located in the Kenton neighborhood of North Portland. Speakeasy focuses on craft cocktails and delicious elevated shareable plates in an intimate lounge setting. Facing the pristine Kenton city park, Speakeasy boasts outdoor seating and a roll up garage window to see the park in the summer as well as a cozy fireplace and leather booths to spend an intimate evening in during the moody winter months.

Zac also serves as the Director of Concessions for the Portland International Raceway and has plans to expand the Dreamweaver Group even further in 2026.
